Enrollment Information 2027-2028 School Year
Due to the overwhelming need to build a strong community and in recognition of our current class’s desire to have everyone present for the full LFS experience, beginning in 2027, we will no longer offer enrollment for fewer than four days a week. The intention behind this change is to ensure we offer a cohesive, equitable program that is accessible for all learners - and we really just don’t want anyone to miss out on anything! Some of the most meaningful hands-on experiential learning happens as an extension of morning work cycle on an afternoon adventure. Should a child need an abbreviated schedule as they adjust to our active days at school, we would be glad to make adjustments on a case by case basis - please see Transitional Enrollment below.
Our school day is 9:00-2:00 (drop-off beginning at 8:30) with Field Peas (afternoon extension) available from 2:00-5:00

Tuition and Fees
The cost of nutritious daily snacks and lunch, planned and unplanned experiential learning opportunities, all necessary supplies, a rain suit for school day use, and artist-quality materials are all covered by monthly tuition and annual fees. The only provisions needed each day from families are your child, layered clothing appropriate for the weather, and a water bottle with a generous handle.
Our part-time enrollment options are limited. This is due to the nature of our programming, which involves a lot of walking at a brisk pace, safely navigating the neighborhood with and without sidewalks, adventuring several miles from campus, and most importantly, building a strong community. Developing empathy and a sense of belonging in the community can only be achieved through consistent presence in community. We want every child and family to experience all the wonderful happenings that take place each day and the experiences that build upon each other.

Annual Tuition Deposit may be a directed donation to the Community Fund that enables us to offer sliding scale and full community-sponsored tuition for 30+% of our families.

Transitional Enrollment Option
For children who are not yet three years old, are newly three, transitioning from taking naps, or still napping, we offer an abbreviated day with pickup at 1:00. This is offered on a case by case by case basis and with the understanding that our youngest children will transition to the full day during the school year.
