Little Field School was founded in 2024 to create a joyful, community-rooted space where children learn through curiosity, creativity, and connection. Our approach blends the best of Montessori and Reggio Emilia practices, drawing on years of experience teaching in both philosophies. The curriculum nurtures independence, a love of learning, and a strong sense of belonging — both in our classroom and the wider Asheville community.

Our peaceful, carefully and thoughtfully prepared environment features high-quality Montessori materials alongside rich opportunities for creative expression, cultural exploration, and hands-on learning. Cooking projects, shared meals, and collaborative art experiences connect children to one another and to the diverse world around them.
