Little Field School was founded in 2024 to create a joyful, community-rooted space where children learn through curiosity, creativity, and connection. Our approach blends the best of Montessori and Reggio Emilia practices, drawing on years of experience teaching in both philosophies. The curriculum nurtures independence, a love of learning, and a strong sense of belonging — both in our classroom and the wider Asheville community.

Our peaceful and thoughtfully prepared environment features Montessori materials and individualized lessons that pique learners’ interest. Dr. Montessori’s materials are complemented by rich opportunities for creative expression, exploration, and hands-on learning. Individual and collaborative art and constructive projects and experiences connect children to one another and to the wonders of the world around them.
